The Arcade Mystic Journey holiday experience used projection mapping, illusion, and keyhole motifs to seamlessly blend Christmas and Lunar New Year themes, creating a captivating time-traveling visual experience.
For this holiday season, we were tasked with creating a visually engaging and thematically cohesive décor that could accommodate both Christmas and Lunar New Year celebrations. To achieve this, our team developed the concept of "The Arcade Mystic Journey" - a time-traveling experience that would transport visitors through different eras and cultural settings.
The core idea was to use the visual metaphor of a "keyhole" to serve as a portal into various fantastical worlds. By framing the different design elements within this keyhole motif, we were able to seamlessly transition between the Christmas and Lunar New Year aesthetics without disrupting the overall cohesive theme.
- Infinity Mirror with Projection Mapping: An infinity mirror installation served as the centerpiece, with projection mapping technology used to dynamically update the visuals and transport visitors through different time periods.
- Plant Wall with Illusion Decoration: A lush plant wall created an immersive, nature-inspired backdrop, with illusionistic elements added to reinforce the sense of mystical wonder.
- Front Arch with Key Visual Wrap: The main entrance arch was wrapped in a key-themed visual, inviting guests to step through the metaphorical keyhole and begin their journey.
- Arch LED Wall with Visual Display: An LED wall installed within the arch displayed captivating visuals that complemented the overall time-traveling theme.
One of the key challenges was ensuring the décor could seamlessly transition between the Christmas and Lunar New Year themes. By leveraging projection mapping technology, we were able to dynamically update the visuals to reflect the changing seasonal requirements without disrupting the core design concept.
