Zespri, the renowned kiwifruit brand, entrusted our team with the exciting opportunity to develop an interactive motion sensor game that would captivate and delight their customers. Dubbed "Smile by the Scoop," this innovative project aimed to create a memorable and refreshing summer experience for Zespri enthusiasts.
At the heart of the experience was a motion-controlled "food ninja" game, where players were challenged to use their agility and precision to slice through falling kiwi fruits. As players mastered the game and completed the challenge, they were rewarded with a fresh Zespri kiwifruit, automatically dropped from the vending machine.
But the experience didn't stop there. Our team also integrated a unique smile detection feature, utilizing cutting-edge technology to capture three images of the players and analyze the intensity of their smiles. Based on the results, the system would generate a personalized GIF, showcasing the player's delighted expression as they enjoyed their freshly harvested Zespri kiwi.
By seamlessly blending motion-based gaming, real-time kiwi dispensation, and smile-powered GIF creation, we crafted an immersive and engaging experience that perfectly aligned with Zespri's brand values of refreshment, joy, and celebration. The project not only delighted customers but also effectively promoted Zespri's premium kiwifruit products in a fun and interactive manner.
