Luxe Concept developed a custom camera app for the HONOR Magic 8 Pro at ComplexCon HK 2026, enabling instant photo printing and digital sharing.
At the highly anticipated ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026, HONOR wanted to create a high-energy, interactive booth experience to promote their latest flagship mobile device, the HONOR Magic 8 Pro. To demonstrate the device's exceptional photography capabilities while driving heavy booth traffic, Luxe Concept was commissioned to develop a streamlined, high-speed photo capture and sharing application designed specifically for the fast-paced event environment.
Our Role & Solutions:We engineered a specialized camera application and backend media ecosystem that turned a simple photo op into a powerful product demonstration and memorable O2O (Online-to-Offline) experience.
Native Camera Integration: Rather than building a basic overlay, our custom app directly supported and utilized the HONOR Magic 8 Pro's original camera features. This ensured that visitors experienced the true, uncompromised photo quality of the new device firsthand.
Instant Cloud Synchronization: We developed and deployed a dedicated media server. The moment a photo was snapped, the app instantly uploaded the high-resolution image to the server, generating a seamless digital workflow without bottlenecking the device.
On-Site Printing & Digital Sharing: The system was fully integrated with on-site hardware to immediately trigger physical photo printouts. Simultaneously, it provided visitors with a quick and accessible digital copy (via QR code or link) for instant social media sharing.
High-Traffic Optimization: Designed for maximum throughput, the UI and user journey were highly streamlined. This allowed HONOR brand ambassadors to rapidly gather visitors, snap photos, and distribute both physical and digital takeaway gifts in seconds, keeping lines moving and engagement high.
